Dear Customer: Congratulations on having selected a new American Baler for your facility. This manual contains all of the necessary information to prepare for the successful and effective operation of your new baler. When the assembly instruction conditions are met, you are ready for a qualified service representative. You should call the American Baler Service Department a minimum of one week in advance of the required startup date. This advance notice should allow for scheduling of your new machine’s commissioning. During the startup of your new baler, the American Baler field service representative will check for proper functionality of the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. It is important that you plan to have personnel available to work with the representative to assure efficient training within the allotted time. See enclosed recommended training schedule. There should be sufficient material on hand to keep the baler in sustained operation for a production checkout (a minimum of 10 to 15 bales). We recommend assigning one maintenance person and one baler operator to the representative during the entire visit. This will assure that personnel are properly trained in both operation and maintenance procedures. Please notify the American Baler Service department if training for multiple shifts is required. We thank you for your interest in a smooth baler startup. We stand ready to serve your needs.
